GOOD THINGS FOR GOSLING, DUNST
Ryan Gosling and Kirsten Dunst are in talks to star in 1980s murder mystery All Good Things, according to reports.
Variety claims the Half Nelson star and Spider-Man actress will begin shooting the movie in April with Capturing the Friedmans helmer Andrew Jarecki making his directorial feature debut.
Gosling would play a member of a New York real estate dynasty who falls in love with a girl from the wrong side of the tracks (to be played by Dunst).
But after her disappearance, their romance is swiftly transformed into a gripping tale of intrigue, with a down-a-out detective uncovering clues that link political power-players to the case and result in numerous deaths.
Michael London and Groundswell Productions will produce alongside Marc Smerling and Jarecki on the US east coast, the trade paper reports.
Dunst can currently be found in Utah, promoting her directorial debut, the short film Welcome, at the Sundance film festival.
She will next be seen starring opposite Simon Pegg in the movie adaptation of Toby Young's memoir How to Lose Friends and Alienate People.
Gosling, nominated for an Oscar last year for Half Nelson and creating substantial awards buzz for his turn in Lars and the Real Girl, recently pulled out of Peter Jackson's adaptation of The Lovely Bones with Mark Wahlberg stepping in as his replacement.
