GONDRY TAKES CHARGE OF GREEN HORNET
French filmmaker MICHEL GONDRY has officially stepped in to take charge of forthcoming comic book movie GREEN HORNET.
Gondry was widely tipped to replace director Stephen Chow earlier this month (Jul09) and now Columbia Pictures spokesman Steve Elzer has confirmed the appointment to the Associated Press.
Nicolas Cage and Cameron Diaz are both in negotiations to join leading star Seth Rogen in the superhero movie, with Cage playing a gangster villain and the Charlie's Angels actress taking on the female lead as a reporter, according to industry paper Daily Variety.
Comedian Chow had also signed on to star as the Green Hornet's sidekick Kato; a replacement has yet to be named.
