British electro act GOLDFRAPP were forced to pull out of their Roskilde Festival appearance on Sunday (02JUL06) when frontwoman ALISON GOLDFRAPP was struck with sudden throat problems. The LOVELY HEAD stars were scheduled to hit the Denmark event's stage at 8.30pm but, despite medical attention, the singer couldn't go on. She released the following statement: "Goldfrapp apologise for the late withdrawal from the Roskilde Festival. "This was due to Alison having a problem with her throat and despite attention from the doctor it was decided after much discussion that she could not perform. "We would like to apologise to all the fans who were disappointed and can assure you every effort was made to avoid this situation. Thanks everyone."
