GOLDBERG SIGNS DEAL WITH DISCOVERY

WHOOPI GOLDBERG is planning another career change - as a documentary filmmaker.
The star's production company Whoop Inc. has signed a deal with Discovery Emerging Networks - the organisation behind the Discovery and Science Channel - to develop a series.
Goldberg, who will work with production partner Tom Leonardis, will have at least one series broadcast by the network, according to Variety.
Goldberg says, "Since I'm really curious about the world, what better place for Tom and me to exercise this interest than at Discovery?"
The actress, who won an Oscar for her turn in Ghost, has worked in most sectors of showbusiness - she garnered acclaim for her roles in film, theatre, and stand-up, and is currently fulfilling co-host duties on U.S. TV chatshow The View.
