GLITTER TO PEN PRISON MEMOIRS

Disgraced pop star GARY GLITTER is to write a book about his "innocence".
The 64-year-old singer - real name Paul Gadd - walked free from prison on Tuesday (19Aug08) after serving time in a Vietnamese jail for sexually abusing young girls.
And now Gadd is hoping to release his memoirs - in a bid to prove his innocence.
He says, "God, am I happy to be leaving Vietnam and that jail. I should never have been in there. It has been a nightmare. Every second, I was set up, that's all I will say.
"But you wait. All the time I've been inside I've been preparing my book. It's all here in my head.
"I'm an innocent man and my book will show you that."
Gadd was arrested in November 2005 and subsequently jailed for three years after he was accused of sexually assaulting an 11-year-old and a nine-year-old.
