GLITTER REFUSES TO RETURN TO U.K.

LATEST: A heart condition has prompted disgraced rocker GARY GLITTER from returning to the U.K following his release from a Vietnamese jail.
The 64-year-old singer - real name Paul Gadd - walked free from prison on Tuesday (19Aug08), and was due to fly back to his native Britain after being deported from Vietnam, where was found guilty of sexually assaulting two young girls.
Gadd flew from Vietnam to Bangkok, Thailand, where he was due to catch the flight to Britain.
But he complained of a heart condition and asked to go to a hospital instead, reports Sky News.
Earlier this year (07) Glitter suffered a heart attack while in prison and has complained of other ailments.
His lawyer Le Thanh Kinh said on Tuesday (19Aug08), Gadd was worried about his health.
Gadd was arrested in November 2005 and subsequently jailed for three years after he was accused of sexually assaulting an 11-year-old and a nine-year-old.
It is not known if or when Gadd will return to the U.K., where he'll be placed on a sex offenders register.
