GLASTONBURY EBAY TICKETS CANCELLED

Tickets for Glastonbury festival appearing on the online auction site eBay are being cancelled by the event's organisers.

According to a spokesman for the festival, eBay have also taken the steps to remove any auctions selling the tickets.

This year's event used a new ticketing system which required fans to register prior to the festival tickets going on sale.

Only fans with a unique registration number - along with a registered photo - could buy tickets when they went on sale on April 1st.

Tickets sold out in a matter of hours and Glastonbury founder Michael Eavis declared the process a success.

It seems the new ticketing system has also thwarted touts trying to sell on their registered tickets.

Mr Eavis admitted however that he was disappointed with the quality of some of the photographs on the tickets.

This year's festival gets underway on June 22nd and runs through to June 24th.

Headliners for this year's festival include the Killers, Arctic Monkeys, the Who, Iggy and the Stooges and Bjork.

Klaxons, Patrick Wolf, Babyshambles, Fratellis, Kasabian, Arcade Fire and Shirley Bassey are also set to perform.
