GILMOUR ROLES OUT PINK FLOYD REUNION
David Gilmour has said spoken out about a PINK FLOYD reunion, saying that it "categorically" won't happen.
Fans of the band have long anticipated a return of the legendary prog-rockers and the band's recent one-off reunion gig at 2005's Live 8 concert fuelled rumours that a tour may be on the cards.
However, Gilmour who has a solo album 'Live in Gdansk' out this month said rehearsals for the Live 8 show were "less enjoyable", reports Uncut.
"There have been all sorts of farewell moments in people's lives and careers which they have then rescinded, but I think I can fairly categorically say that there won't be a tour or an album again that I take part in," he said.
"It isn't to do with animosity or anything like that. It's just that I've done that. I've been there, I've done it".
Elsewhere, the band were recently awarded Sweden's 2008 Polar Music Prize.
