GILL & GRANT TO HOST STAR-STUDDED CHARITY CONCERT

Country couple VINCE GILL and AMY GRANT are planning to raise awareness of the plight of wounded soldiers - by hosting a star-studded musical extravaganza.
Singers including Alison Krauss, Darius Rucker and Melinda Doolittle will take to the stage in Washington, D.C. on 8 June (09) to launch Challenge America, a national initiative to connect existing programmes for disabled veterans.
Grant tells People.com, "It's going to be a very relaxed, comfortable evening. We're going to sit in a semi-circle and go around the circle taking turns doing songs. It'll feel like sitting in a living room. You don't have any idea where the evening is going to go."
And the country star, who, along with her husband Gill, is a patron of the organisation, is convinced the show will inspire others to help wounded soldiers get their lives back on track.
She adds, "I always think, 'What if I were that person who had served and things had turned out differently for me than I expected?' I would be looking at my fellow citizens going, 'Aren't we all in this together?'"
