GIBSON'S GIRL 'HOPEFUL' OF MARRIAGE

MEL GIBSON's girlfriend OKSANA GRIGORIEVA is convinced they have a long future ahead of them - because they are "very, very happy together" following the birth of their first child.
The singer/songwriter welcomed the couple's first baby together, a daughter called Lucia, in Los Angeles last Friday (30Oct09).
The pair hit headlines earlier this year (Apri09) when Gibson's wife of 28 years, Robyn, filed for divorce amid rumours the actor had been dating 39-year-old Grigorieva, who subsequently announced her pregnancy.
Grigorieva claims Gibson had been separated from Robyn for two years before she embarked on her own romance with the star.
The singer admits she has been shocked by the negative press attention since their relationship came to light, telling Britain's Glamour magazine, "I was just sad, really, I mean where does all that hatred come from? And the anger? Maybe it's jealousy. All I can think is these people must be unhappy."
But the new mum insists the relationship is worth it - and is already plotting her future with the Hollywood star.
She adds, "Mel and I are very, very happy together. He's an amazing person. I adore him. We are both very lucky."
When asked whether she wants the couple to marry, she adds: "Yes. I hope so. Yes."
