GIBSON GUITARS ACCUSED OF USING ILLEGAL WOOD

Bosses at guitar giants Gibson are under investigation by U.S. authorities amid accusations they're using illegal wood to make their instruments.
The makers of the iconic Les Paul guitar, played by the likes of Eric Clapton and Jimmy Page, allegedly used rosewood sourced from Madagascar. Use of the wood is banned in the U.S. for environmental reasons.
Executives at Gibson's headquarters in Nashville, Tennessee claim they only bought wood from legal sources, through a German supplier, and are "fully co-operating" with investigators.
