GIBB'S LOVECHILD IS 'HEAVEN-SENT'
Former BEE GEES star ROBIN GIBB has no regrets over fathering an alleged child with his live-in housekeeper - describing his new daughter as "heaven-sent".
Gibb, 59, put on a public show of unity with his wife of 23 years, Dwina, at an awards ceremony in London on Tuesday night (11Feb09) following reports his lover and employee Claire Yang, 33, had given birth to their child, named Snow Robin.
Dwina, who in the past has spoken publicly of her open relationship with Gibb, was said to be furious at her husband for fathering the child, throwing Yang out of their home in Oxfordshire, England upon hearing the news.
But Gibb put on a brave face when quizzed about his new daughter, saying, "All I can say is, life is beautiful. Six years ago my brother Maurice, who was an integral part of the Bee Gees, died and that was a great loss to me. New life is heaven sent and is a blessing. That's what I can say about children and life."
Yang and the baby, born on 04 November (08), have reportedly moved five miles (eight kilometres) down the road from the Gibbs' mansion.
