GERVAIS WANTS US EXTRAS
British comedy creator RICKY GERVAIS wants to produce a US version of his TV show EXTRAS, and emulate the success of the trans-Atlantic incarnation of THE OFFICE.
And multi-award winning Gervais has already decided who he'd like to play the lead if Extras was made stateside.
He says, "I want STEVE CARELL to star in that one too."
Carell plays manager MICHAEL SCOTT in the US version of The Office - the equivalent to Gervais' DAVID BRENT in the British show.
