GERVAIS AND WOOD UP FOR BAFTAS TV AWARDS
Comedy stars RICKY GERVAIS and VICTORIA WOOD have been nominated for acting prizes at the forthcoming British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) TV awards.
Gervais is nominated for Best Comedy Performance for his hit series EXTRAS, which featured stars ROBERT DE NIRO, DAVID BOWIE and COLDPLAY's CHRIS MARTIN.
Wood gained a record 12th BAFTA television award nomination for her role in drama HOUSEWIFE, 49.
Actors JIM BROADBENT and ANDY SERKIS have received Best Actor nominations for their part in drama LONGFORD.
US series' HOUSE, LOST, ENTOURAGE and MY NAME IS EARL all feature in the international category.
The winners will be announced at a ceremony at the London Palladium on 20 May.
