GEORGE'S JOY AT JAIL RELEASE
Singer BOY GEORGE is delighted to be out of prison - but insists he was "fine" during his time behind bars.
The former Culture Club frontman was sentenced to 15 months for assault and false imprisonment over his attack on a male escort in 2007.
He was released on parole on Monday (11May09) after serving just four months - and celebrated his freedom with a vegetarian meal.
And the singer-turned-DJ, who reportedly suffered taunts and harassment by other inmates during his time in jail, is adamant the experience has not had a negative effect on him.
Sporting a newly-grown goatee beard, he says: "It's great to be out. It's a bit daunting, but it's nice. It went fine."
