GEORGE THANKS BOWIE FOR 'COMING OUT'

Former CULTURE CLUB frontman BOY GEORGE has praised DAVID BOWIE - for helping him come out as gay.
The openly homosexual singer - real name George O'Dowd - admits he was "confused" by his sexuality as a teenager - but had the courage to accept his feelings when Bowie confessed in 1972 that he is bisexual.
And O'Dowd hopes he had a similar effect on adolescents during his 1980s heyday.
He told fans at a concert in London on Wednesday (17Dec08), "When I was a little queer boy I was very confused. Then along came this man - David Bowie - and everything seemed to make sense for me, and a lot of other people too, I suppose. I think I had the same impact to people a few years later. I'm very proud of that."
