GEORGE SEWELL DIES

Veteran British actor GEORGE SEWELL has died at the age of 82. Sewell, best known for his role as a heavy in 1971 classic GET CARTER, passed away on Sunday (01APR07). He also starred in movies including THIS SPORTING LIFE (1963) and 1998's DIAL M FOR MURDER remake, as well as TV shows in his native UK including Z-CARS, SPECIAL BRANCH, THE BILL and CASUALTY. Sewell once said, "We all know great actors who have struggled, so I feel lucky I've made a good living." He is survived by his wife and daughter.
