Joel Madden is excited about becoming a father for the second time and says he dotes on his eldest child, 19-month-old daughter Harlow.

The Good Charlotte rocker - who has 19-month-old daughter Harlow with partner Nicole Richie, who is pregnant with their second child - can't stop lavishing attention on his offspring.

He was overheard saying: "I love to spoil Harlow. She's a real Daddy's girl. I can't wait to welcome our new baby into the world in a couple of weeks, Nicole is really looking forward to giving birth."

The 30-year-old musician has previously admitted he is much calmer about Nicole's second pregnancy.

He said: "It's a lot easier. You've already been through it and it's not as intense and dramatic. We're a little more relaxed. It's actually kind of nice.

"You just have to roll with it and learn as you go."

He has also said Nicole, 27, has craved burgers, and always seems to want one of the meaty treats in the early hours of the morning.

He said: "It's usually about two or three in the morning and that's on me. I'm the one that has to run out - either go make her a sandwich or go to In-N-Out Burger or whatever she wants at any given time."
