GELLER LOSES COURT BATTLE OVER PRESLEY HOME
Celebrity illusionist URI GELLER has lost a court battle over ELVIS PRESLEY's pre-Graceland home.
Geller sued the former owners of the rock-and-roll legend's Memphis house - purchased in 1956 with his early song royalties - after they went back on their commitment to sell the property to him through auction website eBay for $905,000 (GBP457.500).
But owners Cindy Hazen and Mike Freemen insisted their decision to pull out of the deal was due to Geller's last-minute alteration to their original terms of agreement on the property.
A U.S. District Judge ruled that the auction served as an advertising vehicle rather than a binding agreement for the sell.
The four-bedroom, 3,000-square-foot house has since been sold to record producer Mike Curb for $1 million (GBP500,000).
