GELLAR: 'I PREFER ASIAN FILMS TO HOLLYWOOD'
SARAH MICHELLE GELLAR has lavished praise on Asian movies, insisting they contain stronger female characters than those found in Hollywood films.
The actress, who starred in the US remake of Asian horror film THE GRUDGE, wishes American filmmakers would follow their lead and feature more tough roles for women in movies.
She says, "I've always been fascinated with Asian movies. There are still only certain film genres where a woman can stand out and be heroic."
