GELDOF'S PHONE POWER

Campaigning rocker SIR BOB GELDOF's power and influence is so great, he can speak to most of the world's leaders at the touch of a button. The former BOOMTOWN RATS frontman admits he finds it incredibly easy to speak to important figures such as British Prime Minister TONY BLAIR or former South African President NELSON MANDELA in his ongoing crusade against poverty in developing nations. He says, "I can ask for phone conversations. "Sometimes it comes, and sometimes the development minister will speak to you - which is often far better. "With Blair, it's not difficult, because he shares our concerns."

Very glad to hear Sir Bob is able to contact ministers for advice. I,m in Chelsea where thanks to Bob dedication and astute intelligence he recognised the achievements of his neighbours and I was able to recognise the Chelsea pensioners from TV. They have been granted the 'Freedom of Chelsea' and hopefully they also furthered Bob Geldof's peace plan giving new light to the term 'Battersy kids'. Hopefully I'll find somewhere to stay during Wimbledom. Thank you Bob for clarifying the Mr Blair is aware that I can't access your money to pay my M & S bill. Dad hasn't taken his advice to raise money but it is little wonder as I was ejected from B2B by B2B staff who claimed it was security which I would like to believe. I had explained that at an earlier well run B2B event in CardiffSir Bob had invited me to the VIP only event. He was the star guest. This meant nothing to the security and programme desk but door staff were lovely and tried toget me in as did an invited guest from the chamber of commerce.
