GELDOF RETURNS TO REJECT BANK MANAGER

Musician and activist SIR BOB GELDOF returned to the bank manager who refused him a business loan when he was a 20-year-old - to pick up a cheque for Live Aid. The former BOOMTOWN RATS star was told to "come back when you're 40" after giving the manager his business pitch. And the then 40-year-old Geldof proudly returned to the banker to collect a donation for his charity concerts. Geldof says, "I did go back when I was 40, to pick up a big cheque for Live Aid."
