GELDOF: 'PEACHES REPORTS ARE NONSENSE'
SIR BOB GELDOF has hit out at the press for writing "nonsense" about his daughter PEACHES, because he knows exactly what she gets up to. The former BOOMTOWN RATS singer has three daughters, Peaches, FIFI and PIXIE from his failed marriage to late British TV presenter PAULA YATES. And he is disgusted by the false press they have attracted - most recently accusations that Peaches, 17, was caught stealing from a London store this week (begs02OCT06). He says, "It's totally trivial and I don't read most of it. When I do read the stuff, it's just nonsense. "I know who their boyfriends are. They're like at home, you know, these geezers (men). And then I read about who they're supposed to be with and all this stuff. It's just nonsense." The Irish rocker is hugely impressed with Peaches' recent television documentaries, and believes she has a successful creative career ahead of her. He says, "I'll say this: Peaches' documentaries are spectacularly good - and you must understand that I'm a man who owns eight television production companies."
