GELDOF COOS ABOUT HAPPY HONEYMOON IN MAGAZINE COLUMN

Reports suggesting PEACHES GELDOF's marriage is in trouble have been dented by the newlywed's memories of her honeymoon trek across America.
As Bob Geldof's teenage daughter allegedly fights to save her marriage to rocker Max Drummey, her first column for U.S. style magazine Nylon has hit the streets, and she coos about the early days of being Mrs Drummey and life in her adopted New York.
The model/socialite reveals she and Drummey hired a U-Haul truck and took off across the country after their August (08) wedding in Las Vegas to experience parts of America "not many see unless they go off the beaten track".
She recalls, "The days passed by in a haze of truck stops, fast food restaurants and palm trees. Highlights included buying a sequined flannel shirt in Colorado for a dollar off an old Mexican woman, who told me it was a family heirloom."
Geldof goes on to reveal all about her happy days of early married life - the trek also led to a vintage clothing shopping spree, lessons in Kiss make-up and a tobacco-chewing competition in Kentucky.
She adds, "My Jack Kerouac (author of road trip bible On The Road) adventure led me to New York, where I fell in love with the place all over again... New York is a place where I finally feel at home... There's no place I'd rather be."
According to British tabloid reports, Geldof and her husband are on the verge of splitting after a series of fiery rows.
