GAYNOR STILL CAN'T BELIEVE SHE'S A CAT ON NEW CHILDREN'S CD

Disco queen GLORIA GAYNOR can't believe she was asked to voice a cat for a new children's CD - because she grew up terrified of the creatures.
The I Will Survive singer joins Jennifer Aniston and Olympia Dukakis among the celebrities offering up their voices for a charity reading of Nick Katsoris' book Loukoumi's Good Deeds.
Gaynor provides the voice of Fistiki the Cat in the reading, now available as a CD to benefit St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, and she still can't believe she's all feline for the project.
She says, "I'm not really a cat person. I used to be deathly afraid of cats.
"It's a very strange story; when my mother was pregnant with me she was frightened by a stray cat from the street while she was asleep and she woke up to this cat standing in her face, so I got that fear of cats in the womb.
"I was afraid of cats all my life and she never told me that story until I was an adult because she thought I would outgrow it."
