GATELY FAMILY GIVE UP SEARCH FOR WILL
STEPHEN GATELY's family have given up their search for the late star's will, concluding he didn't write one before he died last month (Oct09).
The Boyzone singer died from a build-up of fluid on his lungs on 10 October (09) during a vacation on the Spanish island of Majorca, aged just 33.
It was reported that Gately's husband Andrew Cowles had started a search for his last will and testament, believing it was in the possession of a London law firm.
The document hasn't shown up, prompting his family to abandon the hunt.
In an interview with Northern Ireland's Belfast Daily Telegraph, a friend says, "One would think that if a law firm did hold the will and had read reports that Stephen's family are desperately searching for it, they would have come forward by now."
Sources claim Gately's estate, estimated at $11.5 million (£7.2 million), will be split between family members and Cowles - who married the Irish singer in a civil union in 2006.
