GARLAND'S DAUGHTER AND ASHANTI TO CELEBRATE OZ

ASHANTI and JUDY GARLAND's daughter LORNA LUFT are to team up to celebrate the 70th anniversary of film classic THE WIZARD OF OZ in New York.
The R&B star, who recently made her theatrical debut as Dorothy in Oz spin-off The Wiz in New York, and Luft will both perform at the Emerald Gala at Tavern On The Green later this week (24Sep09).
The surviving five original Munchkins from the film will also appear at the event, which will be hosted by Tavern on the Green owner Jennifer Oz LeRoy, the granddaughter of The Wizard of Oz producer Mervyn LeRoy.
The entire restaurant and surrounding grounds will transform into Oz's Emerald City, replete with a winding Yellow Brick Road, for the night.
