GARBAGE AND RAITT TO PLAY BENEFIT GIG FOR DRUMMER

GARBAGE and BONNIE RAITT are among the stars teaming up to perform a benefit concert for drummer WALLY INGRAM, who is suffering from throat cancer. The Beat It Wally event is being held at the Alex Theatre in Los Angeles on 31 January (07) to raise funds for Ingram's medical bills, and will feature some "surprise guests". Other acts confirmed to perform include THE MARTINIS, who include PIXIES members JOEY SANTIAGO and DAVE LOVERING, VICTORIA WILLIAMS, KEB' MO' and FREEDY JOHNSTON.
