GANDOLFINI CUT UP OVER FIGHT SCENE
THE SOPRANOS star JAMES GANDOLFINI is nursing his wounds after being 'whacked' by co-star STEVE SCHIRIPPA when a fight scene went too far. The actor, who plays mob boss TONY SOPRANO in the hit TV drama, was left bleeding after his TV brother-in-law accidentally headbutted him. Insiders tell US tabloid the National Enquirer that medics rushed up to the pair as blood spurted everywhere from a cut to Gandolfini's head, fearing the actor's nose had been broken in the accident. A set source says, "Steve, a big, hefty fella, was sitting down between takes, gasping for air and looking as pale as a ghost because of what he did." Fortunately, the damage was limited and Gandolfini was just left bruised and a little swollen.
