GALLAGHER GETS CULINARY BEFORE CONCERT

OASIS rocker LIAM GALLAGHER became familiar with Scottish traditions before playing a gig in Edinburgh on Wednesday (17Jun09) - by learning how to cook haggis.
The Wonderwall legends headed to the city's Whiski bar on Tuesday (16Jun09) to get some Dutch courage before their sold-old show the following day.
And, after dealing with a string of excited fans, the rockers were eager to grab a quick cookery lesson - in the art of making Scotland's national dish.
Bar owner Gary Still tells the Daily Record newspaper, "They came in at about one but we didn't even realise it was them until five, when one of the workers recognised them. They just seemed like ordinary guys having a few drinks.
"They were all extremely pleasant, and dealt with the autograph hunters and people wanting photos very well. We've had bands in before, but those guys were the most famous yet.
"They went into the kitchen as well because they'd never seen a haggis before, so we cooked one for them so they could see how it was all done.
"We did generally leave them alone, and although a lot of people came up to speak to them, they were generally left in peace."
