GAIMAN BRANDS STARDUST RUMOURS LIES

STARDUST writer NEIL GAIMAN has hit back at rumours the movie was a troubled shoot. There was has been recent speculation that director Matthew Vaughn was nearly sacked halfway through the making of the movie. But Gaimon, who wrote the original book, insists he knows the stories are untrue because his daughter Holly was working on the production. He tells Little White Lies magazine, "It would have been impossible for the producers to have taken the film off Matthew as he brought half the money to the table. "In terms of 'turbulent shooting', I was getting phone calls from Holly which would occasionally dish the dirt on whether or not Michelle Pfeiffer was in a good mood that day, but as far as I can tell it wasn't any more turbulent than any other shoot."
