Gael Garcia Bernal says it feels ''nice to be complemented but worries about the culture of celebrity.

Gael Garcia Bernal likes people complimenting his feet.

The ‘Motorcycle Diaries' hunk loves to hear people talking about how great he is, even if they are only praising his body.

He said: "It feels nice when people say nice things about you, even if they're only talking about your feet.

"But the celebrity aspect of this society of spectacle that we live in has become a synonym for success. It's a very Western idea and it spreads out in a way that is poisonous as rampant capitalism used to be."

The 30-year-old actor - who also works as a movie producer - says his favourite part the film industry is watching the end result on the big screen.

He explained: "If someone put a gun to my head tonight, I would choose to be an actor rather than a producer, and then I would be an audience rather than an actor - I like doing films because I like watching them."
