FUTUREHEADS DROPPED BY RECORD LABEL

British rockers THE FUTUREHEADS have been dropped from their record label after disappointing sales for their latest album, NEWS AND TRIBUTES. However, the four-piece from Sunderland, north east England - who are due to embark on their UK tour later this week (25NOV06) - are "delighted' at the news, and "couldn't be happier." Frontman BARRY HYDE explains, "I'm over the moon about it to be honest with you, 'cos I feel like we're free now. "We weren't happy as a band on that label (679). It's good to get out of the shackles of being tied down to something. I think it's put us in a very strong position 'cos we're still a band that people like."
