FURTADO FIGHTS OFF GNARLS BARKLEY TO CLAIM THIRD WEEK ON TOP
NELLY FURTADO has notched up a third week at the top of the US singles chart with her catchy summer anthem PROMISCUOUS. The Canadian pop star's collaboration with hip-hop producer TIMBALAND kept GNARLS BARKLEY's CRAZY off the top of the new Billboard list. The club anthem climbs to number two. R+B newcomer CASSIE's ME + U also climbs, from four to three. The Hot 100's top debut is JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE's SEXYBACK, which dents the new chart at number 90. Meanwhile, SHAKIRA's seven-week reign atop the Hot Latin Songs chart has ended - DON OMAR's ANGELITO has toppled the sexy Colombian singer's HIPS DON'T LIE. And the RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS' DANI CALIFORNIA still rules the US rock charts - the track claims the top spot on Billboard's Modern and Mainstream Rock charts a 13th and 11th week respectively.
