FURTADO EMBRACES LATIN HERITAGE

Singer NELLY FURTADO is to go back to her Latin roots by recording an album in Spanish and another in Portuguese.
The Canadian star, who has Portuguese ancestry, has already recorded in Spanish - a duet with Colombian rock star Juanes, and a Latin American single titled No Hay Igual.
And now she is ready to give her Spanish and Portuguese-speaking fans to a double treat - recording an album in both languages.
She writes on her MySpace.com page, "I am currently recording two new exciting albums - one in Spanish and one in Portuguese. Stay tuned and I will give you a sneak peak really soon."
The Maneater hitmaker recently launched her own music label, Nelstar, in co-operation with Canadian independent record company Last Gang Labels.
