FURTADO AND TIMBALAND INSPIRED BY ENYA

NELLY FURTADO and producer TIMBALAND took inspiration from an unlikely source while working on the Canadian's latest album - Irish singer ENYA. Timbaland - real name TIMOTHY MOSELY - made Furtado the first signing to his record label and reinvented her sound on LOOSE, and the pair credit Enya with providing the foundation for the new vocal sound. Furtado says, "Timbaland and I listened to her a lot in the studio. Some of the vocals on my new album try and mimic her rich and beautiful vocals. "I think many artists try and emulate her sounds and are inspired by her in a quiet way."
