FRY EMBARRASSED OVER TWITTER UPSET
Actor STEPHEN FRY is ashamed he allowed an online critic to get the better of him - insisting he feels "more sheepish than a sheep" after threatening to quit social networking over negative comments.
The intellectual Brit is a huge fan of micro-blogging site Twitter.com, and regularly updates his 900,000 followers with his daily activities.
But his online antics turned sour when one fan branded his 'Tweets' "boring" - prompting the star to threaten to quit the site due to high levels of "aggression and unkindness".
However, Fry has come to his senses after his other supporters rallied round him, admitting he overreacted - and urging devotees not to bombard his critic with threats.
On his personal blog, he writes, "Arrived in LA (Los Angeles) feeling very foolish. Wasn't the fault of the fellow who called me 'boring', BTW (by the way). A mood thing. Sunshine will help. So sorry.
"Feeling terrible for that poor guy. He had every right to call me boring. Not his fault it caught me at a vulnerable time. Pls (please) be nice to him."
