FRENCH ACTOR BRIALY DEAD AT 74
French actor JEAN-CLAUDE BRIALY has died. He was 74.
The A Woman Is A Woman star died at his home in Paris on Wednesday evening (30May07) after a long illness.
Brialy enjoyed a film career spanning four decades, and has starred in almost 200 movies for filmmakers including Jean-Luc Godard, Claude Chabrol and Francois Truffaut.
He also made his name as a director, and is best known for 1971's Eglantine.
Paying tribute to the star last night (31May07), veteran actress Jeanne Moreau said Brialy had been "like a younger brother" to her, and that she will always cherish "his smile, his generosity, his elegance."
