FRATELLIS CANCEL US TOUR

Scottish rockers THE FRATELLIS have cancelled a series of shows in the US because they're too tired to continue. The trio, who appeared at the Coachella Music Festival in California last weekend (ends29Apr07) had been due to perform in Sacramento, Salt Lake City, Denver and Arizona, but they've now decided to pull out. Group member, Barry Fratelli says, "I'm afraid we're knackered, plain and simple, and need some time to recharge. "We love playing gigs, we are not in the habit of canceling shows unless there is no other choice and unfortunately this is the case. We want to apologise to everybody who was coming to see us play in the next few weeks." The band are due back in the US in July (07) to support reformed group The Police on tour. The Chelsea Dagger singers are the latest in a long line of British acts to quit performances in America - Lily Allen and Oasis have also recently pulled out of show commitments.
