FRANKLIN RE-RECORDS OBAMA INAUGURATION SONG

Soul legend ARETHA FRANKLIN has re-recorded the song she performed at U.S. President BARACK OBAMA's inauguration ceremony - because the cold weather on the historic day meant she could not give her "very best". Franklin sang My Country, 'Tis Of Thee live at Obama's 20 January (09) inauguration in Washington, D.C.
But the rendition in the extreme temperatures disappointed Franklin - so she's now releasing a reworked version in a bid to give fans the perfect soundtrack to their inauguration memories.
The Queen of Soul says, "It is my objective to always give people the very best, and I couldn't do that, unfortunately, in 19-degree weather in Washington at the swearing-in ceremony. So the preferred version for me is the very best that I would present singing the anthem.
"January 20 and the swearing-in ceremony was, without a doubt, a career high, and it was a morning to top all mornings to date."
