FRANK LAMPARD AND FIANCÉE ELEN RIVES BREAK UP

Frank Lampard and his Spanish fiancée have separated after eight years together, it has been revealed.

A spokesperson for the Chelsea and England footballer said that Lampard and Elen Rives, both 30, had "grown apart".

"Frank and Elen have separated," the representative said, adding that no one else was involved in the split.

"This is a private matter and they won't be making any further comment."

According to tabloid reports, Lampard has bought Elen a house close to the £3 million south-west London home they share in order to be close to their daughters Luna, two, and Isla, one.

"It's the saddest thing Elen's ever had to do, but the love has gone," a source told the News of the World.

"She was the one who ended it and she's the one who's moving out.

"Frank will continue to play a very active role in his children's lives but he and Elen have grown apart."
