FOXX: 'PARENTS' REJECTION STILL HURTS'

JAMIE FOXX will never understand why he was abandoned by his parents - because he revels in the love from his own daughter.
The Ray star's mother Louise gave up parental rights when Foxx was just seven months old, putting his upbringing in the hands of her adoptive parents Estelle and Mark Talley.
Foxx's father left the family in the months following his birth, and later converted to Islam.
While Foxx has gone on to enjoy phenomenal success, from achieving a university scholarship to winning an Academy Award, he still ponders why his parents didn't want him.
And the rejection hurts all the more since the birth of his own daughter, 13-year-old Corinne - because he loves being the centre of his child's affections.
He says, "I still ask myself why they didn't want me. Maybe they weren't ready to raise a child. Was it too inconvenient? I lived just up the street from them. I'll never understand it, because I know how great it feels to have a child love you back."
