FOUR GIRLS INTO ONE BAND 'WON'T GO'

Four girls in one band is "never a good idea", according to the latest member of FLORENCE AND THE MACHINE.

Speaking to NME.com, Cherish Kaya, who left IPSO FACTO in order to join the hotly-tipped act, explained the decision had been down to a difficult relationship with the singer in her previous band.

According to Kaya, the four members of Ipso Facto all had "different ideas" about the direction of the group and eventually the situation boiled over.

"In Italy we just argued the whole time," she said, and it was this that eventually led to her departure.

"An argument led to people saying, 'If you're gonna keep complaining then you can f*** off', so I f***** off," Kaya added.

She has now joined Florence and the Machine, taking on keyboard and violin duties with the act, while her old band start the hunt for a replacement.

"It's really weird, they've already asked all of my hot female friends," she noted.

However, Kaya seems much happier in her new band, explaining that the fact Florence and the Machine have already established themselves means there is less pressure on her.

"It's a new thing because I'm not responsible for anything," she said.

The act gives her the chance to play music without struggling to make it as a band, Kaya added.

However, it doesn't seem she is missed by her old act, with Kaya claiming that Ipso Facto singer Rosalie Cunningham was "over the moon" when it was revealed she had left the band.

At the start of the year, Florence and the Machine, responsible for songs including DOG DAYS ARE OVER, came third in the BBC's Sound of 2009 list.

The band also won the Critics Choice prize at the Brit Awards in 2008 and their debut album is set to be released in the summer.
