FORMER NO DOUBT STAR GWEN STEFANI EXPECTING SECOND CHILD

Pop star Gwen Stefani is pregnant with her second child, her father-in-law has confirmed.

Stefani and rock star husband Gavin Rossdale are already parents to son Kingston, who turns two on May 26th.

And Rossdale's father Douglas has told People magazine that the couple have another baby on the way.

"They and the whole family are delighted," he said, seeming to confirm reports in the Sun newspaper which had suggested Stefani is 13 weeks pregnant.

Representatives for Stefani and Gavin Rossdale have not yet commented on the reports, though an October interview Stefani gave to InStyle magazine suggested she was eager to have another child.

"Obviously I'm in a race to have another, but I don't want to do it while on tour," the 38-year-old singer said.

"But I can't wait to get pregnant again. It's so fun and consuming and romantic."

The Sweetest Escape star gave birth to Kingston in 2006 at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles and has described her young son as a "chilled-out little guy".

"He's just like another person, except that he's super-cute and super-entertaining," she told USA Today.

And Rossdale senior waxed lyrical about his grandson, commenting: "He is a great lad. And we are very much looking forward to another grandchild."

Gavin Rossdale, frontman of Bush and Institute, already has a 17-year-old daughter, model Daisy Lowe.

He had been Daisy's godfather but discovered after a 2004 DNA test that he was her biological father.
