FORMER MOTLEY CRUE SINGER CANCELS BENEFIT PERFORMANCE

Former MOTLEY CRUE lead singer JOHN CORABI has left the organisers of a benefit concert scrambling for a last-minute replacement after cancelling his headliner appearance at an upcoming concert due to unexplained scheduling conflicts.
Corabi was set to perform at the 2 October (09) event, planned as a fundraiser for 14-year-old Iowa girl with cerebral palsy.
Organisers hoped Corabi's performance would help raise funds for a $8,100 (£5,400) mobility system in the girl's home to help her move around the house in her wheelchair.
But a post on his website reads: "John would like to send an apology out to fans and those organizing the benefit show in Iowa. Due to a pre-existing date conflict, he will not be able to appear at the show.
"Rescheduling inquiries have been made, and we are waiting to see what can be worked out. These events are very close to John's heart, and he is upset that he cannot be there. Hopefully something will be worked out for a later date."
Corabi replaced Motley Crue singer Vince Neil in the band from 1992 to 1997 before going solo.
