FORMER MANAGER SUES BLONDIE

BLONDIE's ex-manager has filed legal papers claiming the legendary band and its record label is cheating him out of money. Peter Leeds, who worked with the New York band between 1977 and 1979, accuses the group of taking more cash from royalties than they used to, and that they refuse to show him how they're calculating the new payment scheme. In legal documents filed in New York Supreme Court, Leeds claims there was an agreement between him, Blondie and record label EMI that he would be paid a percentage of the band's profits. Leeds says this agreement has proved satisfactory for the last 28 years - until the band and EMI decided there was an interpretive "mistake" in August (07) and changed the method of calculation, writes website TMZ.com.
