FORD BEATEN SENSELESS BY HAUER

RUTGER HAUER beat HARRISON FORD's face to a bloody pulp on the set of BLADE RUNNER - on the Hollywood star's insistence. Hauer was stunned by Ford's brave commitment to the cult 1982 film, especially when he demanded the Dutch actor attack him for real in a brutal fight scene. He tells British magazine Empire, "I hurt him. That was also the first time I had an experience like that, where an actor's like, 'You know, there's nothing you can do to fake this, you just gotta do it. Stick your fingers up my nose...' "His nose was bleeding and I had to do it take after take. Lift his head up and smash it."
