FOGERTY GRATEFUL FOR TURNER EXPOSURE

CREEDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL frontman JOHN FOGERTY will remain forever grateful to TINA TURNER, for making his song PROUD MARY more famous than he ever dreamed. The American rocker, 61, was thrilled when Turner and her ex-husband IKE covered their 1969 hit in 1971. Fogerty says, "They had a whole different take on it, with the slow start and then, boom, they went into the Las Vegas review. "Tina was shaking her money-maker, just rocking out. Tina Turner shot my son Proud Mary into the stratosphere."
