FLO RIDA FACING POTENTIAL LAWSUIT OVER SCRAPPED CANADIAN GIG

Rapper FLO RIDA is facing legal action from a Canadian promoter after allegedly pulling out of a scheduled concert at the last minute.
The Low hitmaker, real name Tramar Dillard, was booked by Jerry Hong to perform at the Beban Park auditorium in Nanaimo, British Columbia earlier this month (Jun09).
But the gig was cancelled late last week (ends12Jun09), along with a handful of other planned dates in the area - reportedly leaving Hong $20,000 (£13,335) in debt.
And now Hong is looking to take Flo Rida to court over the scrapped show to recover his losses - if he can't get the rapper to reschedule for a summer (09) date.
He blames the Nanaimo cancellation on the star's management and a booking agent in Toronto, who failed to deliver on the tour plans.
Hong says, "It was way beyond our control. We feel really bad for our fans. We're hoping we can get him back."

We have received a statement from Flo-Rida himself saying ""I want to apologize to all my fans in Canada for having to cancel my shows this week. The cancellations were out of my control, but I plan to return to perform as soon as possible. Much love!"
