RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS star FLEA is going back to school - to study music at the University of Southern California.
The colourful rocker and founder of Los Angeles' Silverlake Conservatory of Music insists he's adding to his classical knowledge - because you can never know enough about the "mathematics" of composition.
The bass player, real name Michael Balzary explains, "Music is made up out of these building blocks. (I like) studying how these blocks go together and what they consist of and the math of how it works."
